Our Dentists

Dr Robert Hindle

Dr Robert Hindle

Graduated in 1979 and with 32 years of experience in clinical dentistry. Rob has seen many exciting changes and improvements in the delivery of predictable and effective dental services. Rob’s area of interests include fixed wire orthodontics, CAD CAM Ceramic crowns, single and multiple dental implant. Rob is also interested in periodontics and can show you simple and cost effective methods to prevent costly dental problems. Oustide of clinical dentistry Rob has other interests. He has been married for over 30 years and raised two children. Interests outside of dentistry include golf, travel and being a long suffering Melbourne Football Club supporter.

Dr Penny Allpress (nee Bishop)

Dr Penelope Allpress (nee Bishop)

Dr Penelope Allpress graduated from Otago University, New Zealand in 2004. She worked as a Dental House Surgeon at Wellington Hospital, gaining an insight into emergency, surgical and special needs dentistry as well as general dentistry. On moving to Melbourne, she joined the team in 2006 and enjoys the continued diverse aspects of dental care available at R. Hindle Dental Surgery. She believes in treating her patients with a high level of dental care and respect, which she herself would provide to her own family or friends, in a pain-free and friendly environment. She enjoys not only creating beautiful smiles, but enlightening her patients, on how best to maintain them. Dr Penelope Allpress has a caring and compassionate nature along with her superior clinical skills make her a favourite of many patients.

Beyond dentistry, Dr Penny Allpress loves the outdoors, playing and watching an array of sports. She is a keen cook and loves experimenting with new recipes, often supplied by her patients!

Dr Ancy Job

Ancy Graduated at the Vinayaka Mission University in India to gain her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree. Since then she has practised as a Dental Surgeon in India. In October 2014, Ancy successfully completed the Australian Dental council Examination, thereby qualifying her to practise as a Dental Surgeon in Australia. Ancy has a significant array of skills and attributes that would ensure that she becomes and remains an asset to both employer and Australian society as a whole. Her dental skills include thorough exams and cleans, restorative work including crown work and cosmetic dentistry and fabrication of dentures. Ancy enjoys watching the cricket and listening to all types of music.

Practice Administration / Receptionist

Adele Kavanagh

Adele joined our friendly team in April 2013 and in this time she has been diligent in assisting in the implementation of new systems and programs to maintain and ensure the smooth operation of our Dental Surgery. She brings to our practice a wealth of knowledge from many different levels of Administration from varying organisations. Adele is the friendly and welcoming voice on the telephone and is very happy to assist you with your Dental enquires.

Dental Nurses

Jeanette Cochrane

Jeanette is our senior dental nurse. She has worked for R G Hindle for more than 25 years and has been a friendly and familiar face over this time. She is a highly valued team member and her supportive nature has been an asset to our practice.

Jennifer Devries

Jennifer first joined our team in 2003 and after a short break to start a family has re-joined our Practice. She is a Qualified Dental Assistant and has 21 years of experience. This has also included attending many dental courses during this time, in order to effectively keep up to date with changing dental procedures and infection control standards. Jen will also be studying further in the near future.

Jade Lemmon

Jade has been an integral part of the team in varying roles since 2005. After a two year period working as a dental nurse Jade returned to University and in 2011 graduated with a Bachelor of Oral Health Science. She is now a qualified Oral Health Therapist. She has extensive knowledge over all aspects of dentistry and dental processes. She has been actively involved in implementing infection control protocols and is always looking for ways to improve the practice.

Merryn Demmler

Merryn is a qualified dental nurse with many years of experience. She assists in the sterilization room and ensures our instruments and equipment have been processed and sterilized to meet strict regulation standards. Merryn is an organised and meticulous nurse who places prime importance on safety protocols .
